What is soil health and why is it important?
Soil health the capacity of soil to function as a living ecosystem, supporting plants, animals, and humans by regulating water, cycling nutrients, filtering pollutants, and sustaining biodiversity. The 4 basic strategies of soil health are:
1.) Minimize soil disturbance
2.) Keep soil covered
3.) Maximize plant diversity
4.) Maximize the period of living root growth

Soil health is important because well-structured soils allow for adequate aeration, water infiltration, root penetration and growth.
What can be done to improve soil heath?
Many things can be done to improve soil health and structure. Here is a few good ways to start:
1.) Practice No-Tillage/Strip-Tillage
2.)Add More Crops to Your Rotation
3.) Include Cover Crops
