NRCS helps Indiana's farmers and non-industrial forest landowners conserve the nation’s soil, water, air and other natural resources. All programs are voluntary and offer science-based solutions that benefit both the landowner and the environment.
My name is Josean Torres. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I have a bachelor’s degree in
Agronomy and Soils from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez Campus. I started my career with NRCS North Carolina back in 2016. While working in NC, I was member of the Civil Rights Committee under the American Indian Alaskan Native SEPM and the Southeastern Representative of the National Organization of Hispanic NRCS Employees. In my free time I enjoy sports, hiking, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I started as a District Conservationist in Boonville IN on March 2022. I’m very happy to provide any technical and financial assistance, help the farmers and our resources. If you need information about our programs, please contact me.
